Jaden Reeves

Cloud Computing Student & Game Developer

I build things at the intersection of technology, design, and human experience.

About

I'm studying Cloud Computing at Morgan State University and graduating in May 2026. That covers what I study, but not really who I am. I spend a lot of time thinking about how technology can feel more human and less like a tool.

Right now I work in the Human-AI eXperience Lab where I build AI-driven VR experiences in Unity. I have also done cybersecurity research, led teams through 24-hour hackathons, and shipped games and apps completely on my own.

The common thread in everything I do is genuine curiosity. I think the best work comes from actually caring about the person on the other side of the screen, and that shapes how I approach every project.

When I am not in class or the lab, I am usually building something new. It might be a game, an app, or just a random idea I want to see come to life.

Experience

  1. Mar 2025 — Present

Game Development Research Assistant · Human-AI eXperience Lab

Morgan State University · Directed by Dr. Naja Mack

I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across sprint planning, design reviews, and iterative testing to keep the project moving forward. My focus is implementing AI-driven character behavior and environment logic in Unity, writing C# scripts for interactive features, animations, and real-time user feedback, and prototyping UI components using peer feedback to improve experience and gameplay immersion.

Research Assistant · CyberSecurity Research Team

    Morgan State University

I applied cybersecurity techniques to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen data protection within simulated network environments. I also analyzed emerging cyber threats, defense mechanisms, and risk mitigation strategies to enhance system resilience.

Lead Game Developer · Mar 2025 — Present

I am leading development of a VR football simulation focused on concussion awareness — defining timelines, delegating tasks, and driving cross-functional collaboration. I engineered the AI-controlled player systems that simulate realistic on-field positioning and movement, and designed a sideline medical evaluation experience that puts the player in the role of a real medical professional.

AI Social Coaching Platform · Feb 2026 — Apr 2026

A privacy-first AI coaching platform built for the Apple ecosystem. I contributed to system design, real-time interaction feedback, and on-device data protection features. We also drove user experience decisions and delivered a live demo and pitch that earned 1st place at the Propel Future of Tech Pitch Competition.

    Solo Developer · Dec 2024

A time-trial racing game I built entirely on my own, from concept to deployment. I developed the real-time scoring system and custom track layout, and architected the power-up and checkpoint systems that drive replayability and reward strategic play.

A fun arcade game where the difficulty ramps up as you go. It sounds simple and it is, but the challenge was making the movement feel smooth and satisfying. It took way more playtesting than I expected to get the timing just right.

Lincoln Financial Hackathon · April 2023

Our team had 24 hours to build something meaningful for the Lincoln Financial Hackathon. I directed the UI/UX design strategy and drove the full application flow in FlutterFlow, coordinating with teammates to deliver a functional demo. I also championed the product vision by building a questionnaire-based recommendation system that delivers personalized financial literacy guidance, then presented the prototype to the judges.
